For me, cars are much more than simply a way of getting around from a to b. there are some seriously cool cars out there. Most of my favourite cars are classics but still today there are some modern car manufacturers making cool attractive cars and those I like get featured on this blog.
Today’s subject is the Range Rover Evoque. Now I'm not trying to convince you that this is a beautiful car. In fact, rather than being aesthetically pleasing, it's actually rather clunky looking. Interestingly, when The Telegraph newspaper asked its readers which cars they thought were ugliest, the Evoque was in the top ten.

Therefore you're probably wondering why I'm writing about the Evoque today. Well, clearly not everyone is put off by this compact crossover SUV and its slightly strange looks. In its first production year, more than 80,000 cars were sold!!! and sales have continued to be strong. It only took Range Rover 5 years to sell 600,000 units. It appears that a lot of people like this car.
The fact that Range Rover had become an aspirational brand over the past couple of decades has definitely helped to boost the sales of the Evoque. An awful lot of people have wanted to own a Range Rover for some time, but have simply been unable to afford to buy and run one.

Prices vary from country to country, but the Evoque always costs a lot less than a Range Rover Sport. Typically, the Evoque is around £17,600 cheaper ($22,000) than the Range Rover Sport is a fact that has helped more people own a Range Rover.
It is also a surprisingly cheap car to run. At just 2 litres, the engine is smaller than the other vehicles in the Range Rover range, which means lower insurance premiums. It also offers good fuel economy. This turbo-diesel engine typically returns a performance of 29 mpg for highway driving and 22 mpg for urban use, which makes it surprisingly affordable to run.
The relatively low retail price and running costs are also attracting company car drivers. Many are opting to lease a Range Rover Evoque instead of a more traditional executive car brands.

Having the Range Rover brand emblazoned across the boot leaves nobody in doubt about the fact that you are driving a vehicle that has the luxury tag attached to it. Several option packages enable buyers to accentuate this high-end look even more.
